Eligibility Criteria for PGT and TGT Job
Educational Qualification:
Post Graduate Teacher (PGT):
- Two Year Integrated Post Graduate with M. Sc Course of RCE of NCERT in the subject concerned OR Masters Degree from a recognized university with at least 50 percent marks in aggregate in the following subject.
- B. Ed or equivalent degree from a recognized University.
- Proficiency in teaching in the English medium. Age Limit: Should not be below 21 years and above 40 years as on 01 April 2020.
TGT:
- 04 years integrated degree course of Regional College of Education (RCE) of NCERT in the concerned subject at least 50 percent marks in aggregate OR Bachelors Degree with at least 50 percent marks in the concerned subject.
- B. Ed or equivalent degree from a recognized University.
- Pass in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) Paper-II conducted by CBSE in accordance with Guidelines framed by the NCTE for the purpose. Compulsory for TGT posts.
- Proficiency in teaching in the English medium. Age Limit: Should not be below 21 years and above 35 years as on 01 April 2020.
